Privacy
Your library stays
on your Mac.
Effective August 8, 2026
Local by design
Leaf stores its catalog, previews, reading progress, preferences, and references to folders you choose locally on your Mac. Your original files remain in those folders.
No tracking
The Leaf app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. It does not transmit your library, file metadata, usage, or personal information off your Mac.
Folder access
Leaf runs inside the App Sandbox and accesses your library files only in folders you explicitly select or drag into the app. Read-write access is used only for file actions you request. Removing a folder from Leaf revokes its stored access without deleting your original files.
Retention and deletion
Local catalog data, previews, reading progress, preferences, and folder references remain on your Mac while Leaf uses them. After you remove a folder, its derived catalog and cache data are retired by local maintenance. To request help deleting all Leaf app data stored on your Mac, email amiojin@gmail.com. Leaf holds no server copy of your library or app data.
Support information
If you contact support by email, we receive the information you choose to provide and use it only to respond to and improve support. Support email is retained only as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable support records; you may ask us to delete it. Do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary to resolve your request.
